Bridging Cultures: The Role of Foreign Domestic Helpers in Cultural Exchange

Governments worldwide have regulations and policies in place to protect the rights and welfare of foreign domestic helpers. Hong Kong and Singapore are two notable examples. In Hong Kong, foreign domestic helpers have the legal right to a minimum wage and a mandatory rest day each week; Singapore provides its foreign domestic helpers' medical insurance. However, some countries have been criticized for failing to protect the workers' rights adequately.
